(photography)

Wayne was born at Nyah West Hospital in 1966, and grew up in Bunaloo East, Echuca & Nyah.  He undertook an apprenticeship as a Telstra Technician and worked there for 15 years.  After that he took on an apprenticeship with Nyah TV and worked there for 4 years.  Currently he owns a bottle shop/grocery store, and picture framing/photography business, which he runs with his wife Christel and two young daughters, Jordan & Ashlea.

Photography started as a passion when his daughter Jordan was born and it took off from there.  His talent for landscape photography has been astounding and admired by all.  He has won numerous awards, including front cover of Australian Photography Magazine in 2006.

He can often be found traveling back roads, looking for the right photo and settings which result in outstanding photos.  Jordan often goes with him for the sunset shots, which she finds very beautiful.

Other people often look to the sky for good weather or rain, but Wayne looks for the perfect cloud formations, unusual sunsets and thunderstorms.

The Seldom Seen Inn

12x36inch print on Kodak Endura  Metallic Paper

Built in 1889, Wallaces Hut is the oldest remaining high country hut.  It stands on the Bogong High Plains, and was used by stockmen who would bring their cattle up to graze on the alpine grasses.  Surrounded by majestic old snowgums, it truly is a sight to behold.

In 2003, bushfires burnt much of the surrounding area but thankfully the hut and many of it’s surrounding gums were spared.
