Stephen Dyer

Stephen Dyer’s interest in art started at a very young age and was offered a job cartooning at the age of thirteen. A number of his early pieces in acrylic were chosen to be exhibited in China during his eleventh year at technical school. His work was so highly considered by his art teacher that most of them were souvenired by the said teacher.

Stephen has explored many mediums from charcoal, water colours, air brushing and on to oils. His early career was in the electronics industry until his mid thirties when he attended Melbourne University and obtained a degree in teaching with a large emphasis on computers and graphic design.

After four years of teaching Stephen started a sign writing business which was a perfect match for his love of graphics and technology.

About five years ago he purchased his first digital SLR and so was born what he believes a perfect match for his computer skills and love of art. His digital camera is the ideal instrument to capture an initial vision which is then enhanced by use of computer graphic programs into the final art piece. His technology skills enable complete control from initial capture to printing his work on modern Giclée printers that he has fine tuned and calibrated to enable the highest quality output.
