Caroline Ellis

Caroline is Mystic Park based artist.  Caroline has always loved art.  Marvelling at the masters and playing with paint, the surprise and delight in creating a new colour effect.

Living on the land with her husband and 2 children, they are passionate about the environment; actively regenerate their farm when ever they have the time.  It is this passion that inspires her art work making the local landscape and its resident character’s the main subject.  The subject of Caroline’s current exhibition at the Swan Hill Regional Gallery until April 26th 2009 calls for further understanding of the environmental issues this region is facing.

Before settling in Mystic Park Caroline travelled Australia working with the National Parks Service, camera always at hand.  From 1994 to 1999 Caroline sold and exhibited her photography in her own Gallery’s at Rainbow Beach, Perigian Beach and Noosa QLD.

Since taking up oil painting and chalk pastels Caroline has had many solo and group exhibitions both locally and throughout Victoria.  The internet is now becoming a very useful tool to display and sell her work, her work is represented in private collections all around the world, and you can find her online: www.carolineellisart.com

Her unique bold style has encouraged commissions for Murals and she teaches art, being Artist in Residence’s in schools, and at the Swan Hill Art Gallery.

Caroline is driven and this shows through in her art, her work captures a moment in time of pure beauty and energy or just plain fun.
