I have always been interested in art and art history, for someone who wasn’t very interested in school work art was a pathway. I am grateful to have experienced and been inspired by working with other likeminded artists.
Since 2004 I have exhibited in various group exhibitions in Swan Hill. I have participated in a number of painting and life drawing classes at Sunraysia TAFE.
In 2008 and I painted a Bollard depicting River Boat man Arch Conner. This bollard stands on river bank at Boundary Bend
I work in oils, acrylics and watercolors, painting purely for pleasure. I enjoy the simplicity of the paint on the paper, and what can achieved in a five minute drawing. I not greatly influenced by any one artist but I am keen to expand my exposure.
For no particular reason I have been drawn to portraiture, it is my intention to develop this area of my work.
As a new member of the Gallery’s board of management I believe the “Bushfire Benefit”, will be a positive experience for all those involved. Our Gallery is a great venue it should be utilized by the greater Swan Hill community at every opportunity.
