Joanne Hearn

Observation of my surroundings was the initial motivation for my artwork which began in 1997 as impressionistic pastel landscapes and still lifes.

In recent years this has deepened and expanded to include my inner world and led me to develop an expressive semi-abstract style using acrylics as well as prints and collage techniques, to create bold, colourful works which challenge the viewer.
