Sandie Kirby King 
Sandi is a descendant of the Wiradjuri Tribe and lives in the South Western district of New South Wales on the Murray River on a farm. She draws inspiration for her art from her ancestral dreaming about the river and the turtle.
Some of Sandies work has been passed onto her by past generations and the rest is self taught. She describes her work as being traditional with a touch of contemporary.
Sandies preferred medium to work
with is the didgeridoo, where she paints and burns intricate designs of the river, its life and her ancestral dreamings. The wood used for her artifacts is the sturdy mallee tree, which grows prolifically in the wild in the area where she lives.
