Louise Macaulay has been passionately involved with a broad spectrum of visual art all her life, having realised at an early age that art would always be her career. She won the first of many poster design competitions at the age of seven and at fifteen she opened up her own sign business. At eighteen Louise decided to pursue more skills such as graphic design, illustration and painting at Ringling College of Art in Sarasota, Florida. After obtaining a diploma in graphic design in Florida, she went on to work globally and was employed in illustration, graphic design and sign writing. She also designed stage lighting sets and worked in broadcasting for community radio.

Louise has lived and worked in Canada, US, Britain, Saudi Arabia and currently resides in Australia which is her home.
